Over the past 25 years, the Mady and Mules/Howard County Physical Therapy (HCPT) network has grown into one of Baltimore’s most highly regarded and comprehensive providers of Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide a total program that helps patients participate in their own recovery and allows them to maintain their own health and activity level in the future.
Orthopedics:
Our experienced and dedicated clinical team uses a one-on-one approach to provide hands on physical therapy to all patients. We specialize in orthopedic injuries such as lower back, neck and joint pain, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. We have state of the art facilities with the latest athletic equipment and private treatment rooms. At our Howard County facility, there is direct access to Merritt Athletic Club equipment to further enable our patients to return to exercise safely and at accelerated rates.
Sports Rehabilitation:
Our program is designed to prevent injuries and enhance sports performance for athletes of all ages and competition levels. Our Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainers work as a team to address each athlete’s goals to improve athletic performance. For those who are recovering from sports injuries, this program will reduce pain, increase strength and enable them to return to sports as quickly as possible. Athletes will also be instructed in an exercise program that will help to reduce the potential for future injury.
Performance Training:
Mady and Mules Physical Therapy (MMPT) and Howard County Physical Therapy (HCPT) have partnered with local Strength and Conditioning Specialists to bring our injured athletes a team approach to recovery. Our Physical Therapists work with Sports Performance Coaches to ensure that training and recovery can occur simultaneously with minimal down time. It is an ideal setting for patients who wish to return to a highly active lifestyle or a physically demanding work environment. Athletes of all levels, especially those recovering from a performance-related injury or surgical procedure, will benefit from Physical Therapy in this setting.
